I’m not quite sure how to kick off this post, so let’s start from the beginning. Back in January, we applied for a stall at the Heckington Show and were thrilled to learn that we were accepted! We launched a paws appeal, and your incredible support poured in.
Next, we reached out for donations of bottles and bottle bags for our tombola, and after collecting 300 bottles, we were all set for the show. A generous person even offered us their horsebox to transport everything, and we had wonderful volunteers step up to help manage our stalls.
Meanwhile, a dedicated team was busy labelling all our prizes. The show judge was quite impressed with our setup and awarded us third place for the volunteer stand. Visitors will coming our stand all the time to have a go on the tombola and learning about what we do.
We are absolutely delighted to share that we raised an amazing total of £1,187! Yes, you read that right! A simple thank you doesn’t quite capture our gratitude.
