Good Morning,
I went on a day out yesterday and I had the best time!
The lady came to get me from the kennels, I have met her before and she gave me treat so I didn’t do any woofing at her and went straight in for a bear hug.
She said I was looking very handsome after my hair do the other day.
We went straight out in her car which was fun. I was looking through the back to see what was going on, as soon as we set off I laid down nicely so I didn’t fall over – I’ve been in cars before I know the drill!
When we stopped and went through a gate, the lady let me out the car and off the lead straight away. We were in a lovely field with a fence around it and I got to run around free. You wouldn’t believe the amount of space I had to sniff about it was so much fun I did some of my best galloping.
We played ball for a little bit and I did my best giving back and lots of fun. The lady said her ‘friend’ was coming to see me at the field – I don’t know what a friend is but another lady human arrived, she gave me some treats through the gate and she came in to play too. I didn’t do any barking at her and gave her a bear hug too.
Two small boy humans came past us on some wheels they were going very fast and they shouted how quick I was. They turned around and raced me back along the fence which was a lot of fun, they said I was a really cool dog!
A few people kept walking past the field, and they all said hello to me too – it was a very busy day.
Then there was a funny noise next to the field, so I investigated that! It was a massive dog with a very long face just standing in the field next to me – he didn’t move so I had a quick look then went back to sniffing about. The lady said he was a horse but I don’t know what that is.
I had a go playing on some of the jumps and the walked on a high plank – as long as there were treats I was there!
As we got in the car lady put a super smart new harness on me – I think red is my colour. She said the harness used to belong to a very special dog and now it was mine.
We drove for a little bit and went to see a lady and gentleman at their house. I had a good look around the garden and house while the humans were chatting. I liked being in the house – I hope soon I can live in one of those again.
Next the lady said we were going to see a ‘husband’ at ‘the in laws’ – she did talk a lot!
We got out the car and were stood outside a gate – a man human came through and he made me jump so I did my big barking at him! He told me to calm down and gave me a treat so I shook his hand – nice fella in the end.
We went for a little walk on the pavement there were some other humans about, but I walked nicely and paid attention to the lady the whole time.
As we went around the corner a whole lot of loud humans whizzed past on wheels – they were quite interesting, but we carried on walking past and I didn’t bark.
We went through some houses – everyone seemed to be out the front of their houses with noise machines in that place – I looked at the lady and she said “its just a mower don’t worry” so I ignored it and carried on walking nicely. Then there was another one and she said “it’s just a hoover don’t worry” so ignored that one too. I liked her talking to me, if she wasn’t worried, I guessed I shouldn’t be either.
Then we went into a garden at ‘the in-laws’ and we sat down for a little bit. The husband told me to lay down – I thought to myself if I roll over, he might stroke my belly – and guess what he did! I rolled about and he gave me a lot of fuss I really did love that.
The lady said “its time to go back” so I jumped back in the car and laid down.
We got back to the kennels, and I was pleased to see my favourite people again and went to back to my bed.
I really did have a fabulous day out yesterday but all I could think about last night was I did enjoy visiting a house and I really would like to live in one of those again soon.
So, everyone please if you can keep sharing me and asking people you know if they would like to have a big goofball like me living in their house, I really would appreciate it.
